Namche Bazaar (also Nemche Bazaar or Namche Baza:( नाम्चे बजार) is a village and Village Development Committee (Namche) in Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It is placed within the Khumbu area at 3,440 metres  at its low point, populating the sector of a hill. Most Sherpa who are in the tourism business are especifically from the Namche area. Namche bazzar is the major trading central and core for the Khumbu region with many Nepalese officials, a police check, post and a fund .Namche is the most expensive place in Nepal, at least thrice as  extravagant as the capital city Kathmandu.

 

Geography

Instantly west of Namche is Kongde Ri at 6,187 metres and to the east is Thamserku at 6,623 metres .

Transport

On a hill  overpassing Namche Bazaar is the Syangboche Airport (3,750 m). It is no greater used for passenger flights. Russian helicopters make exceptional cargo flights.

 

                              

Trekking

Namche Bazaar  is one of the famous with trekkers in the Khumbu region, specially for altitude acclimatization, and is the to the high Himalaya. The town has a number of  apartment  and stores pampering to the needs of visitors also a number of internet cafés.

On Saturday mornings, a weekly market is controlled in the center of the village. There may also be a daily Tibetan market where clothing and cheap Chinese customer goods tend to be the major articles for sale.

 

 

Climate

Namche has refresh wet summers and chilly, dry winters mainly concerned by its altitude and the summer monsoon season.
