Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu (altitude:1400m)?Today after breakfast, we shall commence our sightseeing at four must see UNESCO World Heritage Sites namely SwayambhuNath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, BoudhaNath Stupa and PashupatiNath Temple where each has the history of Kathmandu Valley’s establishment. Kathmandu, also known as ‘The City of Temples’, is vibrant and has many histories and mythologies.SwayambuNath Stupa: Located in the eastern outskirt of Kathmandu and atop a foothill, SwayambhuNath Stupa; the oldest stupa in Nepal, is a drive of approx. 15 minutes. The main entrance to the stupa is at the base of the foothill and is facing east from where 365 stone-steps (each represents a day of the year) lead all the way up to the top. The scared area of the stupa comprises monasteries, Ajima (Hindu Temple with goddess) and the white dome itself right in the centre. Since the stupa is atop the foothill, it offers wonderful views of Kathmandu Valley and amazing Langtang mountain range up in the north.
Day 03: Fly from kathmandu to Pokhara; sightseeing and boating in Pokhara (altitude:827m)?Our Treks staff will come to Hotel early in the morning to pick up. After breakfast you will picked up from Hotel. Then fly towards Pokhara from Tribhuwan international airport(TIA). We will reach pokhara by 30minuts flying time. Pokhara is situated at 827meter abve from sea level. It is a wonderfull and most popular tourist destination in Nepal. Pokhara is third largest city in Nepal. After lunch ready to sightseeing around pokhara valley including David falls & Gupteshwor cave, And at evening free for boating at fewa lake and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni (altitude:2810m)?After breakfast, you will transfer to Jomsom by flying Northwest from pokhara by passing great way between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain. You will enjoy with raised heights and deepest gorge on this planet. On arrival to Jomsom you will meet the rest of Nepal Dream Path Treks staffs. From Kathmandu to pokhara and Pokhara to Jomsom you will have a guide with you. Then after we start to trek towards Kagbeni, on the way we will see the greate view of mountains Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, & lots of others snow coverages peaks, it is called as the main gate of upper mustang. After 3-4 hour walk, you will reach at Kagbeni. Visit around the monastries & Kagbeni village. Dinner and overnight stay at Kagbeni.
Day 05: (29th April 2016): Trek from Kagbeni to Chile (altitude:520m) walking time approx 5/6 hrs ?It takes about 5-6 Hours from Kagbeni to Chele. The trail goes up towards the east bank of the Kaligandaki climbing over many ridges as it heads north and reaches Tangbe village. The village is looks like a empty. The ways goes through white washed houses, fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat and apple gardens. The Nilgiri peak, dominates the southern part of Kagbeni, all the way by different shapes. After Tangbe village we reach Chhusang village in about 1/2 hours, then we trek and cross the Kaligandaki. The trek now leaves the Kali Gandaki valley and climbs steeply up a rocky gully to Chaile. Diner and overnight stay at Chele.
Day 06: Trek from Chele to Ghiling (altitude:3570m) walking time Approx 6/7 hrs?It takes average 6-7 hours to reach Ghiling from Chele. The climb continues along steep, treeless, waterless terrain, along the side of the spectacular steep canyon to a pass and cairn of rock. Great view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, then we will reach the pass, just in the side of Pass, we see the summar village. After the villages the trail goes down steply about 15-30minuts the cross the small streem. Tha trail again goes to steply up through the Vhena la(3860m.) Then we got the village bhena, normally we stop at bhena for take a lunch, there is only one tea house. After lunch the trail goes gradgually up to the Yamda La and decent to the syangboche. after few minuts ups from syangboche, we can see of Ghiling village. Its take about 1 hour to reach ghiling village mostly downhill. Dinner and overnight stay at Ghiling.
Day 07: Trek from Ghiling to Charang (altitude:3560m) walking time approx 6/7 hrs?It takes around 6-7 hours to reach Charang from Ghiling village. Early morning visit the Ghiling monastry and back to Hotel, take a breakfast and start the trek from Ghiling village the trail climbs west north up to an interesting pass NYI La(4025m). from here, view of Mustang, Annapurna and Nillgiri. Then the trail goes down to Ghami(3520m). After the Ghami, cross a steel bridge of the Tangmar Chu (river) you will arrive to a Mani wall. It is a longest and most spectacular MANI wall in this trip. After Mani wall, trail climb over another pass(Charang La), the route makes a long gentle descent to Charang village. The huge five-story white Dzong and red Gompa are the main attractions to visit and observe collections of statues and Thankas as well as many large paintings, of seated Buddha's. Dinner and overnight stay at Chrang.
Day 08: Trek from Charang to Lo manthang (altitude:3810m) walking time approx 3/4 hrs ?It takes average 3-4 hours to reach Manthang from Chrang. After breakfast the trail goes down and cross the steel bridge and suddenly the trail starts tu steply up. This is an opportunity to visit two other villages on your trek. The trail climbs to as same altitude of charang. The trail until Lo-Manthang is fine with some minor climbing. Finally from the ridge there is a view of the walled city of LO. After a short descent, cross a stream then climb up into the plateau of Lo-Manthang. Overnight stay at Lo Manthang
Day 09: First day of Tiji Festival?Early in the afternoon, horns resounded, announcing the two twelve-foot copper dunchens, with their elephantine blurting, followed by two double-reeled horns, all accompanied by drum and cymbals. Next, an ancient and enormous tanka three stories high was unrolled down the entire south wall of the square. The thanka portrayed Padma Sambhava or (Guru Rimpoche) who brought this ceremony to Tibet in the 8th century." At mid-afternoon, in high wind and blowing dust, eleven lamas in maroon and gold, wearing high red hats, came from the palace and took their places along the wall beneath the thanka, with Tashi Tenzing on the elevated seat just in the center. As the monks and lamas commence chanting, twelve more monks come from the palace in maroon and royal blue and glittering gold brocade, with cymbal-shaped hats decked with upright peacock plumes. Soon they withdraw, to be replaced by the masked dancers who" start the portrayal of the Tiji myth. Dorje Jono repels the demon through the power of his magical dancing - he dances fifty-two separate dances, one of them in ten different bodies, each with a different head. As the dances end, Dorje Jono kills the demon, after which his people are relieved of their plague of misfortunes, water becomes plentiful once more, and the balance and harmony of existence are restored
Day 10: Second day of Tiji Festival?Numbers of Loba have arrived from the outlying hamlets, and the small square is thronged with wild beautiful people, with all of the women and children, at least, in traditional dress. The King of Mustang, "wears a whole crown of tiny river pearls set off by dozens of large red coralline tones interspersed with matched ornaments of turquoise. The costumes and masks, the twelve-foot horns, the gold cups of wheat, the butter cakes, the snow peaks and wind and dust and sun, the mehti, snow leopard, snow pigeons, saligrams, the dying glacier and the desert ruins, the drunks and rajas and foreigners, the dogs and yaks.
Day 11: Third day of Tiji Festival?Tiji ends with the ceremonial destruction of the evil remains, represented by some long black yak hair and red torma cakes minced to a dark red gurry. The demons red remnants are set out on an old tiger skin, where-upon they are attacked by bow and arrow, slings, and the old guns. The poor devils remains are over- turned upon the ground, each time to a wild cannonade from the old muzzle-loaders and a wave of cheers and smoke.
Day 12: Trek from Lo manthang to Dhakmar (altitude:3820m) vai Gar Gumpa walking time approx 6/7 hrs ?It takes around 6-7 hours trek from Lo Mathang to reach Dhakmar via Gar Gumpa. The trail goes south west up from Lo Mathang. The beautifull seen and great snow covered peaks and farm tracess some green Hills. The trails continues gradgually up to Pangta and goes heighest point of the Trip. After there, the trails cross the Charang River and and reach the Gar Gumpa. after visit the gar Gumpa, the trail continue Dhakmar. Dinner and overnight stay at Dhakmar.
Day 13: Trek from Dhakmar to Syanboche (altitude:3800m), walking time approx 6/7 hrs?It takes about 6-7 hours to reach Syanboche. After breakfast starts our trekking by following small stream and through field pass the stupa and reach the Mui La (4170m.) Then step down to Ghami. The trails continue to climbing NYI LA, after pass the NYI the trail continues to Jhaite, Chhunggar, and Tamang village and reach to Syanboche. Dinner and overnight stay at Syanboche
Day 14: Trek from Syanboche to Chhusang (altitude:2980m), walking time approx 5/6 hrs ?It takes about 5/6 hours walk to reach Chusang. The trail walks through a steep ridge of hills. Greate view of the wind carved hills and Annapurna I. The trail gently goes down hill. and climb around 20 minuts to reac the summar village. On the way of Chusang, we can see the formation of Tetang village between two hills. They should have found it a safe place to avoid the strong wind that hits the entire Kaligandaki valley. Tetang is the upper village of the Chuksang, which we visit on the first day entering to Mustang from Kagbeni. Dinner and overnight stay at Chusang.
Day 15: Trek from Chhusang to Muktinath (altitude:3760m),walking time approx 4/5m?It takes around 4-5 hours to reach muktinath from Chusang. The trail follow the North east from Chusang.The scenic view mountains and wonderful flow of wind also helps to make a trip adventurous. Finally reach at Muktinath, take a dinner and overnight stay.
Day 16: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (altitude:2800m)?This is the last day of trek. The trail goes through the village of Jharkot where one can visit the many attractions such as the Jharkot monastery, Tibetan herbal medical center and the old fortress of Jharkot. Continuing the trek towards Jomsom one will enjoy the views of the Kagbeni village. This is the entry point to Mustang. Arrive to Jomsom to celebrate the last day of the trek, with all the trekking staffs of Nepal exguide trek.
Day 17: Fly to Pokhara full day sightseeing or any other personal activities (altitude:827m)?20minuts flight takes us from Jomsom back to Pokhara. Once we arrive at Pokhara airport, and then drive to hotel. In the evening we will have sightseeing tour around Pokhara valley, or we can feel free for personal activities. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu and overnight stay at hotel ?Transfer to Kathmandu by flight and get free time at Kathmandu, you can use the free time by shopping, by rest, or guided tour on request with Nepal Dream Path Treks & Expedition team.
