Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation?Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered as World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members..
Day 03: Drive to Barpak (altitude:2000m) walking time approx 6 hrs?A 6 hours drive from Kathmandu into the western mountains takes us to Gorkha, the Capital of Medieval Nepal. We drive Kathmandu to Baluwa, and then take a local jeep to Barpak village which is situated upon the hilltop. Barpak is also home to Gaje Ghale, the 2nd World War veteran who also received Victoria Cross from the Queen of Britain.
Day 04: Trek from Barpark to Laprak (altitude:2200m) walking time approx 6/7 hrs?We trek through the mountains in an easterly direction into the main valley of the Budhi Gandaki River. A few hours of climb takes us to the pass of Gupsi Dada (3000m). The Gupsi Dada pass Laprak from Barpak, Enjoy the panoramic views of Buddhi, Shringi, Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range. From there, we descend down to Laprak, a beautiful Gurung village
Day 05: Trek from Laprak to Khorlabeshi (altitude:875m) walking time approx 7/8 hrs?Trek further east to Manaslu main valley of the Budhi Gandaki river. We descend from Laprak and cross a suspension bridge. Then a steep climb around hillside. Pass the village of Singla while enjoying the magnifiscent views of the Manaslu Himal, and other Himalayas. Descend down to Kholrabeshi.
Day 06: Trek from Khorlabeshi to Jagat (altitude:1410m) walking time approx 6 hrs?After a few more ups & downs, we reach to Tatopani. From the Hot spring we climb over another ridge, then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. Climb on over a ridge to Dobhan. Crossing a suspension bridge over the Dobhan Khola, the trail climbs on a rugged trail to Duman. Crossing a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola we climb the stone stairs and then drop to the river and again climb more stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Trek along the Budhi Gandaki river then climb towards the village of Jagat.
Day 07: Trek from Jagat to Philim (altitude:1590m) walking time approx 3hrs?Climb over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descend to Setibas. The valley widens a bit as the trail continues up to Ghatta Khola. Continue upstream to a long suspension bridge. Climb up to Philim, a large Gurung village
Day 8: Trek from Philim to Chumling (altitude:2363m) walking time approx 6/7 hrs?Walk past Philim to the north across a forest with the views of the narrowing valley. After Ekle Bhatti cross the gorge, and enter the pine tree forests. Descend down to trail going to the Tsum Valley. Climb through pine and rhododendron forests. Enjoy the views of Himalchuli mountains. Pass Lokpa, climbing further north through pines and rhododendrons. Climb down to Ghumlong, and climbing up to Ripchet. Crossing the Shiar Khola, finally arrive at Chumling. Visit the old Chumling gompa, and the stone streets of the village
Day 9: Trek from Chumling to Chokhangparo (altitude:3010m) walking time approx 5/6 hrs?Cross the suspension bridge onto the opposite bank. Enjoy the great views of Ganesh Himal. Walk past Rainjham to Serpu Khola. Now we enter the hidden valley of Tsum. Another steep climb takes us to the village of Chhokangparo. Weather permitting, enjoy the views of Himalchuli at 7893 meters
Day 10: Trek from Chokhangparo to Nile (altitude:3361m), via Milarepa cave: walking time approx 6/7 hrs?While climbing above Chokhangparo, better to be careful of altitude problems. Walk past Lamagaon to the Rachen Gompa. Climb up to the Milarepa’s Cave. Then we cross the Shiar Khola. Continue walking through the villages of Phurbe and Pangdun. After crossing the village of Chhule, climb upstream and cross the bridge to finally arrive at Nile.
Day 11: Trek from Nile to Bhajyo (Chhekya) (altitude:4030m) walking time approx 4 hrs?We are now almost close to the Tibetan border. Walk to the west bank of the valley through the Tibetan landscapes. Climb up to the Mu Gompa. From Mu Gompa, climb further up to Bhajyo and We are quite close to Tibet and get a good view of the Tibetan peaks as well as the Ganesh Himal range. Bhajyo is a remote area there is not any local houses. Only we can see some yak farm house. After having the lunch we will explore the area.
Day 12: Rest at Bhajyo ?We take rest at Bhajyo both for acclimatization and sightseeing. Discover the highland around Bhajyo. If the weather is clear, you can also enjoy the magnificent views of Ngula Dhojyang pass as well the exguide of the Yamdro Valley.
Day 13: Trek from Bhajyo to Rachen Gompa: (altitude:3240m): walking time approx 6 hrs?From Bhajyo, we descend down to Rachen Gumba. Established in 1905 AD, the Rachen Gumba is a nunnery in the Shiar Khola Valley. The nunnery is one of largest in the region is of great importance. The interior of the Gumba is splendidly painted with Buddhist mural paintings.
Day 14: Trek from Rachen Gompa to Chumje (altitude:3230m)?Continue south until a bridge crosses to the west bank then descend again to Chhokangparo. Drop below Chhokangparo on the previous trail for about 2hrs, until a small gompa is reached at Gho (2485m). Then taking the northern route in the lower Tsum Valley, we finally arrive at Chumje via Yaju.
Day 15: Trek from Chumje for Bihi (altitude:3130m)?From Chumje, we continue on the northern route in the lower Tsum Valley. Pass the village of Dorjon Kharka just before reaching Rana. Crosss the large suspension bridge in the main valley of the Manaslu Budhi Gandaki River. If interested, walk further up to the village of Bihi.
Day 16: Trek from Bihi to Namrung (altitude:2540m) walking time approx 6 hrs?The initial part of today's trek is on a relatively flat terrain. Soon, the trail moves uphill through the forest path. Thus we arrive at Namrung while enjoying at the same time the magnifiscent views of Manaslu, among others.
Day 17: Trek from Namrung to Lho (altitude:3180m)?From Namrung, we again enter the Buddhism influenced region. Climb through the forest to Lihi. Enjoy the spectacular rise of the Ganesh Himal. Descend to Sho. Another steep climb takes us to our today's campsite on a ridge.
Day 18: Trek from Lho to Samagaon (altitude:3530m)?The Budi Gandaki is far down but we follow a small tributary instead. Walking in the shady fir forest is very enjoyable. A short climb to a plateau and the village Shyala. Huge mountains surround us, Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) to the left, Manaslu and large glaciers straight ahead, other snow summits to the right, at the far end of the valley we have just come from stands Ganesh Himal. At the far end of the village, overlooking the valley stands the well-known monastery of Sama. Sama Gaon is a village inhabited mainly by the Tibetans and lies at the foot of Manaslu.
Day 19: Trek from Sama to Samdo (altitude:3860m)?Descend to the Budi Gandaki, that has turned north, and follow it to a bridge over a side stream. The trail to the left leads to the Manaslu Base camp. The Larkya la Trail passes several mani walls as the valley begins to widen. It is an easy trail on a shelf above the river passing the juniper and birch forests of Kermo Kharka. We drop off the shelf, cross the Budhi Gandaki on a wooden bridge and climb steeply onto a promontory between two forks of the river. From a stone arch we can see a large white kani, finally passing through the kani we find Samdo.
Day 20: trek from Samdo to High Camp (Ekle Bhatti) (altitude:4460m)?We continue our walk down the edge, cross the wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki and begin walking upward. Cross two streams and witness the Larkya Glacier. Go around the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up again and come to the stone guest house (4450 m) which is not a lodge but a kind of shelter called Dharmshala, also known as Larkya Phedi. We camp here today and have a rest to prepare for tomorrow's crossing of the famous and most awaited Larkya Pass.
Day 21: trek from High Camp to Bimthang (altitude:3590m), walking time approx 7/ 8 hrs?After an early start, we soon walk across the moraines of the exguide making a gradual ascent which becomes steeper only in the last section to the pass. From the pass, there are outstanding views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II. Savor the spectacular views from the top of the pass. It is a longer day then usual to Bimtang, but to walk into these low pastures with the evening mist coming in and Manaslu; it's an experience not to be missed.
Day 22: Rest day at Bimthang?We have been trekking incessantly for more than 2 weeks. Still one more week to trek in the mountains. Therefore, a rest day would prove a blessing for the tired muscles. Also discover the area surrounding Bimthang as well the cultural life of the mountain people.
Day 23: Trek Bimthang to Dharapani (altitude:1860m): walking time approx 6/7 hrs?We will descend a great height today. Initially, from the valley of Burdin Khola, through rhododendron forests, to Karche, the highest cultivating place in the valley. Then we descend to the village of Gho. While staying on the north bank of the river, we trek into Tilje. Leave the Tilje Village, and cross the Dudh Khola. Cross a wooden bridge back to the northern side of the Dudh Khola. Continue to Dharapani.
Day 24: trek from Dharapani to Ghermu (altitude:1100m)?The remainder of our trek follows trails used on the first few days of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. We descend to the Marsyandi River and cross the suspension bridge. Climb up and away from the river and hike through a broad, flat valley to the village of Tal (1,675m), situated at the foot of a large waterfall.The trail continues on to Chyamje. From Chyamje, trekking up and down along the river, we reach Jagat.A steep trail descends from Jagat through the Marshyangdi valley. Cross Marshyangdi River at Syange and walk to Ghermu.
Day 25: trek from Ghermu to Besisahar (altitude:800m)?The Marsyandi valley opens and on its banks terrace fields and villages clung very high to the hillsides are the age-old work of the Nepalese farmers. We cross several interesting villages such as Bhulbhule, Khudi, etc. Then we walk on a flat part alongside the left bank of the Marsyandi. A last walk up for reaching Besi Sahar, a dusty and busy place which marks the end of our trek and the beginning of the civilization.
Day 26: trek from Drive Besi Sahar to Kathmandu ?A 7 to 8 hours' of picturesque drive on the way back to Kathmandu along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers with splendid views of green hills, mountains, farming terraces and villages on both sides of road. In Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day resting or catching up on some last minute shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner at The Ship Restaurant Bar & Lounge where we can pick our meal from their carefully crafted menu that offer a wide range of choices.
Day 27: final departure back to home:?You will be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule. Mode of transport:Chartered vehicle
All foreigners must have a visa. Nepali embassies and consulates overseas issue visas without any difficulties. You can also get on the spot when you arrive in Nepal, either at Kathmandu’s International Airport or at road borders:Nepaljung,Birjung ,raxaul,Sunali ,Kodari .
You will need a passport photo to get visa in Kathmandu Airport or other border places.It costs $25 for a 15 days and $ 40 for a 30 days visa even USD 100 for 90 days. If you’ll be in Nepal more than 15 days you are better off getting a 30 day visa on arrival.
It’s really a good idea to keep a number of passport photos with your passport so they are immediately handy for trekking permits,visa applications and other official documents.
Emergency Fund during your travel, please make sure you have access to at least an additional USD $ 300 or equivalent , as an “Emergency” fund to be used when circumstances outside your control (ex, a natural disaster ) require a change to our planned route also and this is a rare occurrence during the trips.

If would like take a ATMs can only be found in kathmandu specially in thamel many ATMs place, pokhara and bhaktpur. the money exchange facilities are available in kathmandu (thamel , patan mostly tourist place) pokhara (around lake side) , bhaktapur and chitwan( only ourside the park). The before nepal’s government banned the import and export and use of 500 and 1000 indina Ruppe Note in Nepal but now Nepal government allow indian 500 and 1000 import and export. While traveller’s cheques have security advantages exchanging them can be a long process and commission can be high (up to 10%) and they can be difficult to change in rural areas On weekends and public holidays. If you choose to bring traveller’s cheques please make sure they are a major brand and major currency.

Physical condition : trekking has been since long established in Nepal and providing beautiful views in a natural landscape. When you trekking , can be difficult in parts with a lot of uphill and downhill even climbing. But within the capabilities of any healthy person with an established level of walking and fitness. Often stubbornness helps. Walking at your own pace-slow and steady is the way to go being fit or unfit is not the main control here , it is how you deal with mountain altitude. Always remember the sun is intense wear sunscreen and sunglasses it is colder than you think , especially in the wind if you take off layers whilst during walking make sure to put them on again as soon as you stop or are in the shade so , don’t wait to get cold.

Acute mountain sickness (AMS) : Though All ExGuides Treks itineraries are designed to allow adepuate enough acclimatization during your trekking in Himalayas , you are likey to feel the effect of altitude sickness (AMS) and oxygen deprivation whlist on the trekking. If left untreated AMS can be life-threatening. We would expect the majority or people to notice the effect of being at high altltude and while most will only feel discomfort , it is not uncommon for small number of people to need extra care which will we provided by our Guides and local staff. All our ExGuides trips that spend time at high altitude follow our standered altitude safety measures.
A number of medical conditions or medications are can also reduce your body’s ability to acclimatize and thus will affect your performance at high altitude himalayas and make you more susceptible to AMS. If you are so worried about any pre-existing condition (e.g heart problem) or unsure of your physical ability , you have to seek medical advice prior to booking. You may also wish to discuss medication such as diamox that may help aid acclimatization during your trekking. Please Note that while we try to assist all our valueable clients in achieving their Goal even Dream. But there are maybe times your Guides makes the decision to either delay or stop your ascent based on your medical conditions and AMS symptoms on trekking health and safety is most important. It’s always good to know that best way to prevent AMS is to ascend gradually . above an altitude of 3,000 meter (10,000 ft) you should not ascend more than 500 meter in a day. If due to the itinerary this not possible a rest day to acclimatize recommended by ExGuide Treks.keep in mind please that different people will acclimatize at different rates. Acclimatization of often accompanied by fluid loss , so you always need to lots drinks of fluid to remain properly hydrated (at least 3-4 quarts per day. Also urine output should be copious and clear like water. Please take it easy , don’t over –exert yourself when you first get up to altitude in Himalayas. Light activity during day is better than sleeping because respiration decrease during sleep, exacerbating the symptoms. Always avoid tobacco and alcohol and other depressant drugs including tranquilizer and sleeping pills . there are depressants futher decrease the respiratory drive during sleeping resulting in a worsening of the symptoms. Please eat well foods and eat a high carbohydrate diet ( more than 70% of your calories from carbohydrates) when you while at altitude. If begin to show symptoms of moderate altitude illness , please do not go higher until symtoms decrease of symptoms are increase , you should go down , down, down!
Diamox : Diamox allow you to breathe faster so that you metabolize more oxygen , thereby minimizing the symptoms casue by poor oxygenation. This Diamox is especially helpful to start at night when respiratory drive is decrease. Since takes while for Diamox to have an effect. It’s a advisable to start taking it 24 hrs before you go to altitude and continue for at least five days higher altitude, and this is recommendation of the Himalayan rescue association medical clinic is 125 mg. twice a day one in the morning and one at night.diamox started dose is 250 mg , when you take Diamox you may get possible side effects include tingling of the lips and finger tips , blurring of vision and alteration of taste. Please never , and never try to take more than 250 mg Diamox in once. After taking Diamox please drink lots and lots water it does help a lot.

Eating is a big part of traveling. When travelling with ExGuides you experience the local food . while arrival ,we always provide you WELCOME DINNER. While trekking we are usually satying in so call tea house. A tea houses are the combination of guest houses , restaurant and social hang out. Private rooms (twin basis) are available in most tea houses , except for high altitudes onces where it will be just dormitories. The tea houses are fairly basic. The rooms are spare with twin beds and very little additional furniture. Blankets are generally provided from tea houses. Most bathrooms are shared and toilets can be either squat type or the western version. It depend on trekking region and trekking place.most of tea houses have running water facility and many of them have hot water available for bathing at additional cost. Solar heaters depend on the weather. There is a large dining room-cum-lounge , warmed by the Bukhara stove and tea house normally no electric lighting in the rooms unless the village has hydroelectric power. Most tea houses got solar lighting in dining.
Tea houses now also have electricity for charging small appliances –mobile phone and cameras and there maybe a small charge amount for this.
During a tea houses trekking you will usually have breakfast and dinner in the tea houses where you stayed and lunch will be eaten at one of the trail side resturants. Every tea houses serves the traditional nepali meals Dal Bhat (rice and lentils) as well as a varity of different food item such as rice , vegetable , noodles , patatos and soup.also different varity food items such as a pizza , pasta and French fries. For soft drink, snacksand beer are available in most of the tea houdes and trails side resturants. And of course always milk tea is served everywhere in tea houses trekking.
Tipping at the end of your trip : if you are happy with the services provided a tip- though not compulsory –is appropritate. While it may not be customary to you. it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your trips and inspires excellent service and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destination. We recommend that tips are given to the intended recipient by a member of your group , rather than collected ans passed on by group leader. We suggest following amount are based on local considerations and feedback from our past traveller, hotel porter :NPR 50-100 is adequate for porters that assist you with bags to your room. Restaurant : please check the bill if there’s an addition of 10% service charge , no requirement ofr tipping , otherwise 5-10% of the total bill amount is appropriate.
Your Trip leader/ Guide: throughout your trip you may at times have a local Guide in addition to your leader. We suggest USD 2-3 per person , per day for local Guide(including city tour Guide , jungle Guide , rafting Guide , assistant trekking Guide and your Trip leader/ Guide).
Porter : throughout your trip you may at times have a porter in addition to your leader. We suggest USD $ 2 per person perday.
